Situated in the heart of Brussels, Food Law Consultants reaches the main information hubs which shape food legislation at EU level, and has developed a legal approach towards public affairs activities which derives from the legal experience of its professionals and which result in a more professional, effective way of dealing with EU officials.

Food Law Consultants provides:

  1. Food legislation monitoring. Thanks to the permanent presence of Food Law Consultants in the most important European publications on food and beverages issues, including its own Revista de Derecho Alimentario, Food Law Consultants can effectively monitor legislation and regulatory developments affecting the industry on a general basis.

In addition, we elaborate for our clients tailor-made newsletters focusing on our client’s specific interests.

  2. Lobbying. Food Law Consultants can closely work with European Commission officials in the drafting phase of food legislation and provide them with specific information which may suit our client’s interests. The strategy is followed before the European Parliament by drafting amendments which may benefit them until the end of the legislative process.
  3. Representation. Food Law Consultants can provide hosting of associations without a stable presence in Brussels, such as the Iberoamerican Food Law Association (Asociación Iberoamericana de Derecho Alimentario), and provide them with an address, infrastructure and organisational services in Brussels, which serves as European headquarters. We act as secretariat of the associations upon an agreed budget.
